Duchess of York in Debt Crisis: Insight from Epstein Files and Company Closures
Documents lodged with Companies House have disclosed that six entities associated with Sarah Ferguson, the erstwhile Duchess of York, are in the process of being dissolved. Ferguson holds the position of director for all six firms, which will be removed from the register in a matter of ten days unless compelling legal reasons are presented to halt the proceedings.
The nature of these businesses remains somewhat ambiguous, with one linked to the public relations sector and another involved in retail, yet neither displaying significant commercial engagement.

This development follows closely on the heels of recent disclosures from the Epstein case files, revealing that Ferguson, once married to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, confided in the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein regarding her severe financial woes.
Correspondence shared between Ferguson and Epstein highlights her plea for fiscal counsel as she faced a debt crisis amounting to £6 million, during a period when Epstein was incarcerated for procuring a minor for prostitution.
It should be noted that inclusion in the Epstein case files does not imply any misconduct.
An attempt to secure a comment from the former Duchess of York's representative has been made.
The businesses slated for closure include S Phoenix Events, Fergie's Farm, La Luna Investments, Solamoon Ltd, Philanthrapreneur Ltd, and Planet Partners Productions Ltd, with none holding a prominent public standing.
An “application to strike the company off the register” has been filed for five out of the six businesses, signalling their imminent cessation of trade and existential cessation.
For S Phoenix Events, the document records Sarah Ferguson as the individual validating the strike-off application on the company's behalf.
Apart from these, Ferguson is actively listed as a director for three other ventures on the Companies House registry; these include Ginger and Moss, a lifestyle brand, Coat, a company engaged in film production, and Librasol, operating within the “artistic creation” sector.
All companies undergoing dissolution were established over a decade prior, with the majority designated as “dormant companies”, indicating minimal to no recent business activity.
Ferguson remains the sole director maintaining ties with each.
Towards the latter part of the previous year, records indicate that Ferguson updated her official details across all businesses from “Sarah Duchess of York” to “Sarah Margaret Ferguson”.
For several years, there have been murmurs of Ferguson's financial straits, but the exposure provided by Jeffrey Epstein's files has vividly illustrated the extent of her financial distress. Reportedly, she informed Epstein about nearing a breaking point due to extreme exhaustion at a juncture when he was detained in Florida, also seeking his emotional backing.
