Frustrations mounted on platforms like X (formerly Twitter), where users shared their predicaments. “Sort it out soon please,” implored one individual, forced to rely on a coffee shop's Wi-Fi in the absence of working mobile data or home internet. Another, highlighting the dire situation for those working from home, expressed regret for consolidating their mobile and broadband services under Vodafone’s network.
The disruption extended its effects to Vodafone's physical retail locations and also impacted users of other telecommunications providers such as Voxi and Lebara, which utilise Vodafone's network infrastructure. Sabrina Hoque, a telecoms specialist at Uswitch, commented on the widespread trouble, recognising the significant inconvenience and uncertainty such outages cause to customers.
